Is a trust registered under a State Trust Act permitted to operate in other states, or can it work across India?
A public trust whose trust deed has been registered in a particular state can operate across India. Please ensure:
a. Trust deed does not have any restriction on geography for its operations, make amendment if that is the case.
b. check for specific compliances specially under trust law of concerned state(s) where you wish to operate now more particularly states which have own trust acts and have authority for administering trusts.
