Can OCI card holder serve on the governing body of a NPO that holds an FCRA registration ?
There is no bar on OCI card holder to be on the governing body of an FCRA registered entity. An OCI is a foreign source, and relevant details need to be provided in Form 6E to be filed within specified timeline post appointment. Suggested that majority of GB members be Indian residents and refrain from financial dealings with OCI who is on the GB to avoid undue scrutiny.
