On 22 June 2026, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) notified amendments to Rules and the compounding framework under the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act (FCRA), 2010.
The update revises penalties for certain offences and adds new compoundable violations, including misuse of foreign contribution, speculative use, and use outside the approved State or Union Territory.
