FCRA registered entities who have reported NIL utilisation of FC in FY 2022-23 and FY 2023-24 are receiving show cause notice from MHA under Section 14(1)(e) of FCRA 2010 for cancellation of FCRA registration certificate. This is serious matter since if cancellation happens, application for fresh registration will require waiting period of 3 years.
How to respond:
- If your entity has received FC in FY 2024-25 and FY 2025-26, please disclose the same in your response.
- Efforts made to secure FC funds in past years maybe presented in response including detailing proposals submitted
- Your organization’s financial position as per consolidated audited financial statements for past 3 financial years maybe presented in response to demonstrate that it is not defunct and there is adequacy of domestic funding and represent that such cancellation will cause hardship to the organization’s overall operations and service delivery to the community.
