The Central Rules under the 4 Labour Codes have been notified by Central Govt on 8th May 2026. With this the formulation of rules process for the Labour Codes is complete. 3 of the 4 central rules i.e. Code on Wages Central Rules 2026, Social Security (Central) Rules 2026 and Occupational Safety Health & Working Conditions OSHWC (Central) Rules 2026 are appended below applicable to nonprofits.
These rules help with procedures, forms and templates to operationalize the Code on Wages, SS Code and OSHWC Code which were notified from 21.11.2025. Nonprofits are advised to begin compliance immediately.
Please note that state rules for various states are final or draft and will get notified in due course. Nonprofits may begin aligning their compliances and processes regarding labour as per the codes and Rules at earliest.
