For those who are being recruited for a 2 year fellowship in an NGO, does gratituty need to be given to them at the end of the 2 year fellowship tenure.
Fellow is not an employee and therefore not covered for Gratuity provisions. Fellow is not a recognised employment arrangement in law; a fellow essentially gets a stipend for the work as a changemaker at the grassroots in the social and development sector.
